Throwback: Lyndon House 41st Exhibition Choices

In January 2016 I decided to make my first submission to the Lyndon House 42nd Juried Exhibition. I love Athens and I had told myself that I would feel like a “real” photographer if I landed some of my work at the Lyndon House, our famed city arts center. I curated 6 photos to choose from with the intent to narrow them down to three. I had two “themes:” one was nature and the built environment, and the other was minimal architectural. After asking for votes online I decided to go with the minimal architectural theme and two of the three were chosen for the exhibition! Minimal 1 and 2 were chosen and displayed at the Lyndon House next to a handful of additional photographs. The art writer in our independent magazine compared my photos with those of the minimal works of Ellsworth Kelly. I think I’d call that a win!
