#FunkyFebruary is virtually over. It’s been an interesting experiment. I learned a lot about my camera. And I learned a lot about myself. Working in a different style was a challenge but it reminded me that I sort of am who I am. I think I do my best work when I’m shooting what I love: precise compositions, repetitive lines and the places they meet, simple colors, and the intersections of nature-made and the man-made. I’ve posted above some of my most experimental photos in terms of exposure and focus. I shot in black and white a lot this month because we had some very dreary days (and I always feel black and white on overcast rainy days).

I’ve decided to do #minimalMarch. I’m very excited about this new challenge! Minimal is a style that I really want to learn more about and try to hone. Check out this Google image search. Isn’t it beautiful? Bring on Minimal March!
